GREER, S.C. (AP) — Honeywell is expanding its Greenville County operations to create 30 new jobs over the next five years.

Gov. Nikki Haley announced Monday that Honeywell International Inc. is investing $25 million in its Greer facility. Officials say the company will install more efficient equipment at the plant, which repairs and overhauls propulsion engines for aerospace customers.

Officials say the expansion is expected to be finished in 2016.

Honeywell makes aircraft equipment, specialty chemicals and other products. Its safety products division makes a wide range of protective and safety gloves for fire service, utility and general industrial workers.

In 2009, the company said it would expand a facility in Clover, creating 80 new jobs over five years.
