JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Two Johnstown-area defense contractors plan to expand plants due to new military contracts worth more than $55 million.

Kongsberg Protech Systems USA Corp., based in Richland Township, will perform work on two contracts worth a combined $17.3 million, along with a Kongsberg plant in Bellport, N.Y. Those contracts include making electronic components for Army Stryker vehicles and a towed Howitzer artillery cannon.
