Aircraft Cabinet Maker To Move Into Sherwood

A company that makes cabinets and upholstery for aircraft has announced plans to expand its manufacturing operations and move its plant to a new building in Sherwood. Custom Aircraft Cabinets announced Friday that it will move from its current plant in North Little Rock into the former National Home Center building in Sherwood.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A company that makes cabinets and upholstery for aircraft has announced plans to expand its manufacturing operations and move its plant to a new building in Sherwood.

Custom Aircraft Cabinets announced Friday that it will move from its current plant in North Little Rock into the former National Home Center building in Sherwood.

Company officials say the expansion will include 150 new jobs to bring total employment to about 290 workers. CAC said the expansion will also mean 20 new jobs at its sister company, Reliable Fire Protection.

The company said it plans to invest a total of $5.9 million in the expansion project.
