Disston Company Celebrates Move To New Facility

Disston Company, manufacturer of hole saws, band saw blades, jig saw blades, reciprocating saw blades, drill bits, and other hand and power tools, held an open house August 30, 2013 celebrating its move to its new facility in Chicopee. Following welcoming remarks from dignitaries and a ribbon cutting ceremony, Disston’s Mike Rau, Vice President of Operations, led visitors on a tour of the plant.

(CHICOPEE, Mass.) – September 6, 2013: Disston Company, manufacturer of hole saws, band saw blades, jig saw blades, reciprocating saw blades, drill bits, and other hand and power tools, held an open house August 30, 2013 celebrating its move to its new facility in Chicopee.

Disston’s employees were joined by Chicopee Mayor Michael D. Bissonnette; Representative Joseph Wagner; Chamber of Commerce President Gail Sherman; and others from the local business community. Following welcoming remarks from dignitaries and a ribbon cutting ceremony, Disston’s Mike Rau, Vice President of Operations, led visitors on a tour of the plant.

While Disston began operating out of its new facility on Plainfield Street in July, Friday’s event marked the company’s formal opening. Disston purchased its new 130,000 square foot industrial building in April 2013.
