(GREENFIELD, Mass.) - April 29, 2013 -- The Disston Company’s CEO and President, Stephen Chen, purchased a 130,000 square foot industrial building in Chicopee, company spokesperson, Mark Marzeotti, today announced.

Disston is a manufacturer of saw blades, drill bits, and other hand and power tool-related accessories for the DIY, contractor, and industrial markets. Its brands include Blu-Mol, RemGrit, Aggressor, and Blu-Mol Xtreme.

Marzeotti described the new facility as having roughly 20,480 square feet of office space and 109,271 square feet of manufacturing space. The ceiling height in the manufacturing area is 16.2 feet. There are three loading docks with levelers and one drive-in door. The building sits on 4-1/2 acres of land. Proximity to Rt. 91 means the facility is in a good location from which to ship product.
