LADSON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina company that makes armored vehicles has received a $16 million contract to build mine disposal vehicles for the armed services of the United Kingdom.
Force Protection Inc. of Ladson said Tuesday the contract calls for building 23 of its Cougar Mastiff vehicles. The vehicles are used by mine disposal units.
The first five vehicles were delivered Feb. 8. The rest are expected to be delivered by April.
