Harris Gets $66M Radio Order From U.S. Army

(AP) — Military contractor Harris Corp. said Friday that it received a $66.3 million order from the U.S. Army to provide multiband "manpack" radios to support the modernization of battlefield communications systems. The system will allow for streaming video, collaborative chat, biometric enrollment and secure network connectivity.

The Army has identified modernizing its tactical network as a priority, Harris said.

Harris shares rose 57 cents, or 1.6 percent, to close at $36.74 on Friday.
