WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — A federal workplace-safety agency accuses a Waukesha, Wis. manufacturer of exposing its workers to safety hazards.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Acme Machell Co. for 22 alleged safety and health violations. The company makes rubber components for other products.
OSHA says the citations include failing to maintain fire equipment and failing to update safety plans. The agency also alleges that Acme's first-aid responders have been given incomplete training.
A message left with the company was not immediately returned.
OSHA has proposed fines of nearly $78,000. The company has 15 business days to comply with the fines, contest the citations or request a conference with the agency.
