MILAN (AP) — Fiat says CEO Sergio Marchionne, who also heads Chrysler, receieved total compensation of €14.45 million ($18.87 million) last year, mostly in stock options.
Fiat said in a filing on Thursday that Marchionne's fixed salary was €2.45 million. He received stock remuneration worth about €12 million.
Marchionne has also been CEO of Chrysler since 2009. He declined a salary in 2011 at the U.S. automaker, which he has helped turn around since it emerged from bankruptcy, for a second year.
Marchionne is also chairman of Fiat Industrial. His salary there has not been disclosed yet.
