A majority of employees believe the foodservice industry offers opportunities for advancement and career success. According to a workforce study released by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), more than 91 percent of restaurant employees ages 35 to 44 said they have advanced to a higher-paying job in the industry. And younger workers are moving up too, with 86 percent of employees between 25 to 34 moving into higher-paying positions. (National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation)
