The Castellini Group is investing $52 million in a new produce processing and distribution center in metro Atlanta and will create 300 new jobs over the next several years. The facility will be built in Conley, about 10 miles south of downtown Atlanta.

CONLEY, Ga. (AP) — Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal says a company is developing a produce processing and distribution center in metro Atlanta and will create 300 new jobs over the next several years.

Deal said in a statement Monday that the Castellini Group is investing $52 million in a new processing facility in Conley, about 10 miles south of downtown Atlanta.

Deal says the company's new distribution center will serve wholesale, retail and food service customers throughout the east coast. Company CEO Bill Schuler says the new distribution center will help the company better serve current customers and reach new markets.

Deal says the Castellini Group of Companies is based in the greater Cincinnati area and was founded in 1896.
