DRAPER, Utah (AP) — A Draper company is recalling more than 38,000 pounds of beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli.
KTVX-TV reports (bit.ly/Njcifm) the U.S. Department of Agriculture confirms the illness was detected through routine lab testing at Dale T. Smith and Sons Meat Packing. The department says the meat was produced Aug. 7.
The products subject to recall were on their way to wholesale and retail establishments in California and Salt Lake City.
Company officials say they have not received any reports of illness associated with the beef.
