Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert O'Brien refused to order an immediate halt to production at the Sriracha factory in Irwindale, Calif., afer the city's residents complained the plant was stinking up their neighborhoods. O'Brien said he wasn't given enough time to consider the case, saying:
"You're asking for a very radical order on 24-hour notice."
