Nestle USA Names New CEO

Nestle S.A., the world's largest food company, said Friday that its U.S. operations will soon be led by the current head of its business in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) — Nestle S.A., the world's largest food company, said Friday that its U.S. operations will soon be led by the current head of its business in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The appointment of Paul Grimwood as CEO and chairman of Nestle USA will be effective in October, following the retirement of current CEO and chairman Brad Alford. Grimwood is currently CEO of Nestle UK and Ireland. Fiona Kendrick, who heads Nestle's global coffee business, will take over for Grimwood, the company said.

Grimwood previously led the Nestle's confectionary business in the United Kingdom. Alford has been in the top spot at Nestle USA for seven years and with Nestle for 32 years.

Nestle USA is part of Nestle SA, based in Vevey, Switzerland. Nestle USA's brands include Lean Cuisine, Hot Pockets, Stouffer's, Dreyer's ice cream and candy bars such as Baby Ruth and Butterfinger.
