JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — Seneca Foods is looking to expand in Janesville under a pending agreement with the city.

The company would add 80,000 square feet to its existing 1.1 million-square-foot plant. The Janesville Gazette reports the addition could accommodate five food processing lines, each costing about $10 million. The company would guarantee annual property tax payments of $30,327 and at least 25 new jobs for 10 years.

Seneca would add 78 jobs if all five production lines were built.

The city would provide a $300,000 loan forgivable over 10 years and build a $3.3 million lagoon to handle wastewater.

The agreement will be presented to the Janesville City Council on Monday.
