Florida craft beer brewers hope the next legislative session will pass a bill that allows them to sell their brews in bottles larger than 32 ounces. The large refillable bottles, known as growlers, are legal in 47 other states as the industry grows.

Florida craft beer brewers are hoping the next legislative session will pass a bill that allows them to sell their brews in bottles larger than 32 ounces. Large refillable bottles, known as growlers, up to 64 ounces are legal in 47 other states. Ben Davis, owner of Intuition Ale Works in Jacksonville, Fla., said:

It's such a stupid law. You can come in here and buy a gallon, you can buy a quart, you can buy two quarts, but I can't sell you a half-gallon. And it's the industry standard. You go to Colorado, you go to a brewery there and say 'Hey, I want a growler of X beer,' they don't ask you, 'Hey! Do you want it in a quart or do you want it in a gallon?'
