Enfamil Bottles Found Opened, Resealed with Tape

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling bottles of Enfamil A+ Ready-to-Feed Infant Formula from Ontario Walmarts in Brampton and Mississauga after customers found some bottles with the tamper-proof seals broken and the formula replaced with water.

OTTAWA — A brand of baby formula is being recalled in Ontario after Walmart shoppers in Brampton and Mississauga reported finding bottles that had been opened and resealed with tape.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says some bottles of Enfamil A+ Ready-to-Feed Infant Formula were found with the tamper-proof seals broken and the formula replaced with water.

The agency advises consumers to look carefully at bottles of infant formula, and to throw out or return any that may have been tampered with.

It says the advisory was triggered after three complaints but that no illnesses have been reported.

Walmart immediately removed the product from sale in the Halton and Peel regions of Toronto.

The food inspection agency says Walmart did not find any additional tampered bottles.
