In a company first, the iconic red and white can of “Campbell’s” condensed soup will change colors in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Nearly seven million cans of Campbell’s top two condensed soup varieties, Chicken Noodle and Tomato, will be available on grocery store shelves beginning October 1 dressed in a specially designed pink and white label. Campbell will make a donation that will benefit breast cancer awareness initiatives across the country.
In addition to new colors, Campbell’s gold medallion will also be replaced by a pink ribbon, the traditional symbol used to signify support of breast cancer awareness. The gold medallion on the label symbolizes the medal awarded to Campbell chefs for excellence at the Paris Exposition in 1900. These specially designed cans of soup will be comparably priced to the traditional red and white labeled varieties of Chicken Noodle and Tomato soup, which will remain on shelf.
