Grocery Manufacturers Association Co-Sponsors Inter-Industry Summit on Import Safety

Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) President and CEO Cal Dooley announced that the association will join with 11 other trade groups to sponsor an inter-industry summit on import safety on July 9, 2008, in Washington, D.C. This unprecedented gathering of senior leaders from a broad cross-section of industries will be joined by Secretary of Health and Human Services Michael Leavitt to exchange successful supplier management practices and discuss how to strengthen public-private partnerships that will enhance the safety of imported products.
