WASHINGTON (AP) — The International Dairy Foods Association — whose members include Dean Foods Co., Lifeway Foods Inc. and ConAgra Foods Inc. — spent $247,000 in the second quarter to lobby on nutrition policy, dairy pricing and other issues, according to a recent disclosure report.

The trade group for the nation's dairy makers, marketers and suppliers, also lobbied on regulatory matters affecting its members, including food safety, ethanol, trade and other issues in the April-June period.

Besides Congress, the association lobbied the Food and Drug Administration, Department of Agriculture, U.S. Trade Representative and other agencies, according to the report filed July 20 with the House clerk's office.
