(AP) — In this April 20, 2011 photo, cows are seen in Harold Howrigan's barn in Fairfield, Vt.
Some dairy farmers aren't sweet on parts of a proposed $30 million settlement with Dallas-based Dean Foods that would require the national dairy processor to temporarily buy some of its milk in the Northeast from independent farmers. Howrigan, a longtime dairyman from Fairfield, says dairy farmers do better when they work together and that the deal could lead to lower dairy prices paid to farmers. (AP Photo/Toby Talbot)
