(AP) — Fiji Water has announced its acquisition of Justin Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, California. The companies did not disclose the deal's value, but they said both businesses cater to high-end restaurants, hotels and other customers, and the deal allows both brands to grow by leveraging the popularity of the Justin Vineyards wines and the sales and marketing strength of Fiji.

Justin Vineyards founders and owners Justin and Deborah Baldwin will stay on with the business, and say the company will remain focused on providing quality wines. The winery, known for Bordeaux-style blends and single varietals, will maintain its operations in Paso Robles. "We just want to go out on a high note and want to take the winery to a different level," Justin Baldwin said. "There is only so much we as individuals can do." Fiji is owned by Roll International Corp., which is based in Los Angeles and owns the Pom Wonderful, Teleflora and Paramount Citrus brands.

"They understand agriculture, they understand the Central Coast of California and they've done incredible things with the companies they have put together," Baldwin said. The owners of Roll, Stewart and Lynda Resnick, are wine aficionados and have long hoped to get into the business, the Baldwins and Fiji water said.
