Blue Mountain Brewery has chosen a business park near Lovingston as the site for its new 10,000-square-foot facility. It will produce 10 lines of the brewery's beer. Nelson County officials say the expansion will create at least 50 jobs.

The Blue Mountain Barrel House and Organic Brewery will be a production-only facility where the beers will be kegged or bottled. The beers produced will be certified organic. The company also will open a large production brewery to focus on the production of its current bottled beer lines.

The News & Advance reports that production is slated to start in January 2012.
