PITTSBURGH (AP) — A federal court jury in Pittsburgh is deliberating the fate of a former vice president of a bankrupt western Pennsylvania beverage maker.
Sixty-seven-year-old Robert Lynn is charged with conspiracy as well as mail, wire and bank fraud in connection with the 2006 collapse of Latrobe-based Le-Nature's Inc.
Jurors have heard two weeks of testimony in the complex fraud case in which Lynn and other defendants were accused of bilking lenders out of $856 million.
Defense attorneys have said their client never stole anything or falsified records and was duped along with investors.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says jurors began deliberating at about 4 p.m. Tuesday after closing arguments.
Other defendants in the case have pleaded guilty to various charges and are awaiting sentencing.
