NARCO, La. (AP) — The Diamond Green Diesel facility in Norco, Louisiana is expected to return to production next week. That's according to joint-venture partner Darling Ingredients.
The facility has been shut down since an explosion and fire on Aug. 3. The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1s6F6A0 ) the startup process began on Sept. 15. No one was injured in the blast.
Diamond Green is a joint-venture between Darling and Valero Energy Corp.
The facility makes diesel from used cooking oil and other feedstocks.
