Marijuana Grow Operation Found in Sausage Packing Plant

Santa Fe police have discovered what's described as a sophisticated marijuana growing operation.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Santa Fe police have discovered what's described as a sophisticated marijuana growing operation.

Police discovered 113 marijuana plants and 30 pounds of processed marijuana in a former sausage packaging plant.

The operation included a plant nursery with an irrigation system, grow lights and a drying room.

Police say they have a probation and parole arrest order for 34-year-old Marshall David Duran of Santa Fe.

Police say Duran who leased the building in Santa Fe's industrial district.

The Albuquerque Journal (https://bit.ly/YjDNu7 ) reports that Duran had a 2008 convictions for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.
