Flame Detectors

The FlameGard Series of flame detectors are designed to continuously monitor for hydrocarbon-based fires or flames. They detect the ultraviolet (UV) and/or infrared (IR) radiation that is emitted by these fires and flames. All detectors can operate as stand-alone units or connected to a fire or security system, and are also compatible with digital control systems (DCS). The FlameGard IR3 Flame Detector uses a patented triple-infrared design to monitor three different infrared frequencies, offering two to three times the detection distance of conventional IR or UV/IR detectors. All three signals are checked for the proper ratio and relationship to each other before an alarm is given, enhancing the system’s immunity to false alarms.
