BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) — Firefighters worked for 3½ hours to extinguish a fire at Exxon Mobil's vast Baytown refinery.
No injuries or hazardous emissions were reported from the 5 p.m. Wednesday fire that company spokeswoman Rachael Moore says broke out in a process unit at the plant. She says no cause has been determined but other plant operations weren't affected.
The Irving, Texas-based company's website says the Baytown complex is the largest petroleum and petrochemical production complex in the nation.
