Trelleborg
Trelleborg AB, Sweden, has opened a manufacturing facility for its Sealing Solutions business in China's Shanghai region. The 107,640-square-foot plant will have about 100 employees by the end of the year and is designed to meet stringent environmental standards. The increased production capacity from this new plant means that Trelleborg AB is now better able to meet increasing demand from industry in China and the rest of Asia.
Air Products
NASA has selected Air Products and Chemicals Inc., Allentown, PA, to design, furnish and install a plant to produce liquid nitrogen for the National Transonic Facility, a cryogenic wind tunnel located at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA.
Royal DSM
Royal DSM N.V. plans to construct two new manufacturing facilities at its Chemelot site in Geleen in the Netherlands. DSM is making these investments in response to market growth for two of the company's specialty products, Stanyl polyamide 46 and Stamylan UH ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. The plants are scheduled to come on line in 2008.
