Vertellus Specialties, a newly formed company focused on the manufacture of high-growth, high-value products to the agriculture, nutrition, pharmaceutical, personal care and industrial markets, has begun expansion of its Greensboro, NC, facility. This location operates within Vertellus Performance Materials, formed through the combination of Reilly Industries' Morflex Inc. and Rutherford Chemicals LLC CasChem operating units.
Bayer
Bayer MaterialScience LLC has approved an upgrade project at its New Martinsville, WV, integrated polyol and systems production facility. The project, which represents an $8 million investment, provides state-of-the-art computerized control for the entire formulated systems production process from raw material receipt to final product shipment. The project will be implemented in phases with completion expected by the fourth quarter of 2007.
Cytec
Cytec Industries Inc., West Paterson, NJ, hopes to have a new production plant on-stream in early 2008 to manufacture Radcure epoxy and urethane acrylates at its Fengxian production facility near Shanghai, China.
