Platinum-clad products can be manufactured with core materials such as nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, titanium, niobium and Kovar. Featuring 2% or more cladding thickness, these products are functionally equivalent to solid platinum but are typically 10 times less expensive. Available as wire and rod in sizes from 0002 in. to 0.125 in. O.D., and as ribbon up to 1 in. wide, depending upon the desired properties, these products provide high corrosion resistance and thermal and electrochemical stability. They have a smooth, consistent surface finish and can be custom engineered to match any application.
