OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — ConAgra Foods Inc. said Tuesday that it completed the acquisition of Del Monte Canada from Sun Capital Partners.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ConAgra, based in Omaha, Neb., makes a variety of food brands; including Chef Boyardee, Slim Jim, Peter Pan and Reddi-wip. It announced in January that it was buying Del Monte, based in Toronto, to expand its fruit and vegetable offerings.
The acquisition includes all Del Monte branded packaged fruit, fruit snacks and vegetable products in Canada, as well Aylmer tomato products.
Shares of ConAgra fell 34 cents to close at $26.02.
