Cleaning, food safety and pest-control services company Ecolab Inc. said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Steven Fritze will step down Oct. 1 and retire at year's end.
Fritze has been Ecolab's CFO since 2002. Daniel J. Schmechel, who currently serves as executive vice president of finance, will become CFO on Oct. 1.
Shares of Ecolab Inc. fell $2.22, or 3.4 percent, to close at $63.48.
