Mower maker Toro Co. on Tuesday said it was adding a fertilizer company executive as a director, bringing its board to 10 members.
James O'Rourke, chief operating officer at The Mosaic Co., had experience that could help Toro expand in irrigation and equipment markets, the company said.
Mosaic makes phosphate and potash fertilizers for crops. O'Rourke, 51, joined Mosaic in 2009.
Shares of Toro, based in Bloomington, Minn., fell 7 cents to $37.45 in afternoon trading.
