Tactical Communications Group (TCG), the leading independent provider of tactical data link (TDL) software solutions for military test, training, simulation and operational applications worldwide, today announced it recently received a new, multi-year contract and award from the United States Air Force for its market-leading BOSS tactical data link testing and simulation solution.
TCG's BOSS solution has been used by the USAF for many years and today is used in virtually all US Air Force certification testing. Leveraging its deep test and simulation capabilities, the USAF uses BOSS to verify a multitude of link-enabled military airborne and ground C2 communication platforms comply with Link 11, Link 16, JREAP, SADL and other military communication standards, many of which are constantly evolving. Under terms of this new award, TCG will provide the USAF certain requested enhancements and additional capabilities to TCG's BOSS solution. These new capabilities will allow the USAF to perform additional and even more complex data link testing and simulation procedures with the many TCG BOSS units which are widely-distributed throughout USAF testing agencies today. This new award also contemplates multi-year support for these BOSS systems, and provides for additional enhancements for BOSS as may be required by the USAF over the next several years.
