The Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis (JISEA), a transdisciplinary global research group focused on the nexus of energy, environment, finance and society, headquartered at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), will address transformational trends in the global energy economy at its annual meeting, March 7-8 in Golden, Colo.

The second annual meeting will bring together key stakeholders from across the financial, legal and industrial sectors as well as academic research teams.

The JISEA annual meeting provides an opportunity to hear from thought leaders in the local and global energy fields. In addition, the meeting will focus on seminal research by the institute, including a study on the benefits of jointly developing nuclear and renewable energy sources, and an ongoing examination of the role natural gas plays in transforming the U.S. electric sector.

“JISEA leverages the combined expertise of member institutions to fill global information gaps and enable decision making regarding energy futures,” said Douglas Arent, JISEA Executive Director. â€śThis annual meeting celebrates the great progress we have made toward our vision during our first full year in operation and helps to set our future course.

Highlighted keynote sessions and opening poster session, highlighting the institute’s portfolio of technical analysis projects, are open for media participation.  Speakers will be available to answer questions from the media at the conclusion of each highlighted presentation.
