Biofuel company Gevo Inc. said Thursday that it named longtime agribusiness executive Gary Mize as a director on its board.
Mize is partner and owner at MR & Associates and has over 35 years of experience in the industry. Before joining MR last year, he was president of the ethanol company Rawhide Energy LLC and served as nonexecutive chairman at Ceres Global AG, Gevo said.
He also has served as the chief operating officer and executive director of Noble Group in Hong Kong and was president of the grain processing group at ConAgra Foods Inc.
In afternoon trading, Gevo shares rose 5 cents to $8.99.
