Kentucky officials say two members of a blasting crew have been trapped inside a truck by a rock slide at a surface mine in western Kentucky.

CENTERTOWN, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky officials say two members of a blasting crew have been trapped inside a truck by a rock slide at a surface mine in western Kentucky.

Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet spokeswoman Ricki Gardenhire said Friday morning the surface miners were driving near a highwall when the collapse happened at Armstrong Coal's Equality mine in Ohio County, but there was no information on the time of the accident.

The condition of the men and their identities was not immediately available.
