Mark C. Rohr, executive chairman of Albemarle Corp.'s board of directors, will retire effective Feb. 1.
Baton Rouge-based Albemarle also said Monday board member Jim W. Nokes was elected its non-executive chairman, also effective Feb. 1, and that company President and Chief Executive Officer Luther "Luke" Kissam joined the board as of Nov. 2.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/uTOedL ) Kissam took over for Rohr as CEO in July, 16 months after being named Albemarle's president.
Albemarle manufactures chemicals used in consumer electronics, petroleum refining, utilities, packaging pharmaceuticals and other applications.
It employs about 4,000 people internationally and serves customers in approximately 100 countries.
