Quest Software Inc. has completed the buyout of Surgient, a leader in private cloud automation software.
Terms of the deal for privately held Surgient, which is based in Austin, Texas, were not disclosed.
Quest CEO Doug Garn said it was a customer of Surgient and liked the company so much that Quest bought it.
Shares of Quest fell 43 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $19.96 in afternoon trading Tuesday.
