Aveva, a provider of information management solutions for the plant, power and marine industries, will participate in the Saudi Arabia International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference.
The company will showcase its integrated technologies for plant engineering and operation at the event, which is scheduled to be held on 10-12 October 2010.
Aveva Plant is a suite of engineering, design and design management applications built around the Aveva PDMS 3D design system, which is targeted at engineering, procurement and construction contractors (EPCs) in the oil and gas industry.
It has recently been joined by the Aveva Mechanical Equipment Interface, a standards-compliant interface for 3D CAD model exchange, and Aveva Instrumentation, an intuitive solution for the engineering, design and management of electrical and instrumentation installations.
According to the company, which will be found on Stand 619, the biggest efficiency gains are to be made in the exploitation of project information, not only during project execution but in handover and operations; Aveva Net information management technology is claimed to deliver these gains.
It can accelerate plant handover and allow operators to exploit the full value of all types of data and documents, to minimise downtime, to improve staff productivity and to enhance compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
Aveva Net's web-based interface manages all types of information, from engineering design data to administrative records, independently of authoring applications and file formats.
It even allows the cost-effective capture, validation and cross referencing of legacy data to upgrade the information assets of existing plant.
Together, Aveva Plant and Aveva Net provide a productive software solution for the entire plant lifecycle.
