Bayer CropScience says it has reached an agreement with state regulators to resolve environmental issues at a West Virginia plant.

The company says the settlement with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection covers three separate agreements covering the company's Institute Industrial Park site.

As part of the agreement, Bayer CropScience, a subsidiary of Bayer AG, will pay $460,000 in fines.

Wednesday's agreement covers violations between June and August 2009 that involved the storage of hazardous wastes and compliance with air-pollution requirements.
