A committee of the National Academy of Engineering and National Research Council that is conducting an analysis of the causes of the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill will hold a public meeting to hear from Mark Bly, group head of safety and operations for BP, and other company representatives about BP's recently released accident investigation report. Also on the agenda are Thomas Roth, vice president of cementing for Halliburton Corp.; Jon Gisclair, in-site support coordinator for Halliburton's energy services group; and C.R. Williams, chief scientist with Shell Oil Corp. , who will discuss the Marine Well Containment System, new technology under development by a consortium of oil companies.
