BATESVILLE, Miss. (AP) — The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has proposed penalties of $228,320 for Art Horizons Inc. in Batesville for 34 alleged safety and health violations.
OSHA said in a news release that the citations came after a follow-up inspection of the company that began March.
OSHA says the company was cited safety violations including failing to maintain a workplace free from the accumulation of combustible dust around equipment and overhead conduits.
A separate health inspection revealed noise hazards, flammable liquids and a failure to develop, implement or maintain a written hazard communications program.
The company may contest the citations and proposed fines.
