NEW YORK (Reuters) - Solar panel maker SunPower Corp said on Tuesday it will build a 15 megawatt solar plant for Arizona Public Service (APS), a unit of Pinnacle West Capital Corp, in Glendale, Arizona.
The plant, to be built at the Luke Air Force Base, will come online in the summer of 2011, with construction set to begin in January 2011.
About 550 local jobs will be created during construction, SunPower said.
