LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Nestle Nutrition says it will spend $90 million to expand its Gerber baby food plant in Fort Smith and that it will add 50 jobs.

The facility already employs 650 people, and the company said Tuesday that it will add a cereal line to the food plant.

Gerber has operated the plant in Fort Smith since 1964. The facility produces pureed baby food, meat sticks and infant cereals.

The expansion is to be complete by September 2012.
