SOLARVEST BIOENERGY INC. (TSX VENTURE: SVS) ("Solarvest" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Ledwell as a director of the Company.

Mark Ledwell is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office, practising in business law with particular emphasis in the areas of construction, energy, infrastructure and project finance. Before joining Gowlings, Mark served as chief operating officer and general counsel to a leading civil contractor in Canada. He has over 10 years' experience in P3 and infrastructure projects, including the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the Trans Canada Highway in New Brunswick, and the finance and construction of the Deh Cho Bridge in the Northwest Territories.

Mark has participated as a lawyer and executive in a number of major developments in Canada, including the Confederation Bridge, Highway 63 in Alberta, the Trans Canada Highway in New Brunswick, several oil sands projects in Canada's Athabasca Oil Sands, the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline in Atlantic Canada, arterial highway projects in a number of major municipalities, nuclear and hydro power generation, electricity transmission and wind farm developments throughout eastern Canada.

In addition, Mark has significant operating experience in a number of key industries, including forestry, agri-food, the fishery, waste management, precision machining, steel fabrication, mining, transportation and manufacturing.
