United Technologies Corp. says a top executive will leave the industrial conglomerate to become chief executive of a Connecticut health information company.

Ari Bousbib (Booz-'BEE), executive vice president and president of United Technologies' commercial companies, will leave effective Sept. 1.

IMS Health, a Norwalk health care data company, says Bousbib will take the CEO job Sept. 1.

The 48-year-old Bousbib joined United Technologies in 1997. The Hartford conglomerate is the parent company of jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney, aerospace manufacturer Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky Aircraft and other businesses.

Previously, he was chief operating officer and president of Otis elevator.
