LONDON (Reuters) - European carbon prices closed at a six-week low and below a key technical support level on Wednesday as traders dumped permits ahead of Thursday's UK auction and weaker German power and UK gas prices weighed.
EU Allowance futures for December delivery closed near the day's lows, down 33 cents or 2.2 percent at 14.85 euros a tonne, the lowest close since May 24.
Volumes were moderate at 11,610 lots traded.
