Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies, today announced that Codan Rubber Mexico has selected the Epicor 9 next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The global rubber auto parts manufacturer and its local auto parts distributor, Comercializadora Tepeyac Autopartes, will be implementing the Epicor solution to help increase visibility of the business, optimize expense management and enable real-time decision making.
Codan Rubber Mexico chose Epicor for its efficient control of manufacturing processes, from product quoting for the automotive assembly plants, to load monitoring. The company found that the Epicor solution fit their requirements as a midmarket automotive manufacturer, with tools to easily manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), an important process for original equipment customers.

Codan Rubber Mexico currently uses a solution designed for sales, administration and finance; as they began to roll-out their existing solution's manufacturing and distribution capabilities for better materials management and smarter use of manufacturing resources, they found that it didn't work and consulting services were excessively expensive.
